Digital decarbonisation

HyDATA is a project financed by the Region Bourgogne Franche-Comté and BPI France. It intending to demonstrate how the hydrogen can contribute to decarbonise the digital, through the use of hydrogen fuel cells in a datacenter. Started in July 2020, the project runs for 18 months.

The HyDATA project evaluate the back-up diesel generators subsitution in the datacenter by hydrogen systems, soundless and without CO2 emissions.
Mahytec, partner of this project, will bring its knowledge about hydrogen storage systems.
FEMTO-ST is coordinator of this project which aslo imply the company H2Sys and Trinaps from Burgundy Franche-Comté.
A demonstator will be settled soon in Extendo datacenter based in Belfort.
